THE COTTAGE

We lived at Number 1 (We now live at a number 22)

It was originally a very large wooden shed, one of a number in the locality that were provided for soldiers returning from the First World War. In the mid twenties a brick skin was built around this, containing the wooden structure within.

Although the previous tenants had  kept  the inside  fairly well, closer inspection of a damp area revealed a rotten timber section and wood worm. So we  had no option other than to strip all the internal walls and ceilings, to assess the extent of the damage. 10 years later we finally completed the project with the instalment of ceilings wonderful ceilings.

But we eventually got there Electricity, what magic is that? Beds in a shed Open air bathroom/diner Chimney, chimney wherefore art thou chimney? Open plan interior with no mod cons Home
