HOLIDAYS

Generally we holiday in the UK, because as wonderful as the rest of the world is, we dislike the hassle and time taken to navigate through airports. We are also not the most streetwise of couples to be ‘safely’ ‘wandering around foreign lands. Although Carole has cruised down part of the Nile in Egypt but because of local unrest at the time she was not able to include the pyramids. We have ventured as far afield as Texas in the USA to visit a great cousin of Ian’s but the flying proved too taxing for Carole for us to repeat the experience.

We have stayed as far north as Crieff in Scotland and as south as Redruth in Cornwall.  We have returned to Matlock in Derbyshire and Brixham in Devon the most.

We have good friends that live in Paignton and Abingdon, so we hope to avail ourselves of their hospitallity more often in our retirement.
