Lived most of my life around Sudbury Suffolk, as my parents thankfully migrated from London in the late fifties.

At that time most people either walked or cycled and the roads and byways were safe for us children to roam and explore. Left school in the early seventies to go to a couple of colleges and learn how to use a fork n spade.

Discovering 18Plus (not the infamous holiday club) was a life changer and am eternally thankful to the weird and wonderful people I met through them.

I had intended to spend my life as an under gardener working on various estates up and down the country but a legacy left by the death of my first employer resulted in a change of direction and I C Gardens was born.

With work restricting my social life I joined the Kathleen Kent agency(pre internet) and met Carole. Together we have enjoyed the highs and lows of life, the universe and everything.

My 50th birthday present to myself was  Cancer (Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma). However the treatment of this had improved greatly, with much success and 19 years on I am still here to tell the tale.

I have a younger brother, living with his wife and two children in a wild wood of Kent.
